1. AlterG Reservations
2a. Standard AlterG Shorts
Basic construction. Polyester shorts with single zipper.
For use with all AlterG, anti-gravity and microgravity treadmills.
Note: The original AlterG shorts, made of neoprene (the same material used for wetsuits) have been discontinued and there are no alternate manufacturers. It is possible to find used neoprene shorts. All new shorts are polyester.
2b. Double Zipper Shorts
Double Zipper shorts are a game changer. They are an improvement on the standard shorts and can be used with any AlterG, anti-gravity or microgravity treadmill.
The main differentiating feature is the second zipper, which allows runners to be at a 90-degree angle (left leg forward or right leg forward). In this position, you can perform lateral exercises so you can:
Improve movement and agility
Perform flexibility exercises
Engage more muscles, including:
quadriceps
hamstrings
glutes
hip abductors and adductors
and more
NOTE: The models we have now no longer have split legs with velcro. We offer only a solid-leg double-zipper short. Disregard the split leg and velcro as seen in the images.
